Random Happiness

Asher LOVES "wind blowers"- and Chester is fascinated-frightend of them...

Annalise loves her friend Regean- they are 2 peas in a pod!

I had to quit my teaching job to get Asher and Annalise to their various therapies- the perk is that I can now have lunch with these sweet kiddos more often!!

Uno or other games are part of our nightly routine- I am amazed at what amazing kiddos Adeline and Alden are growing up to be!

Annalise continues to be a HOT MESS first thing in the morning- that is until her meds kick in.  Thank goodness for our trampoline- and a good guard dog!

2 Year Anniversary

It's hard to believe, but we have been a family of 6 for 2 years!  Here are our customary family pics to show how adorable and big everyone is!

We decided to celebrate this year by having brunch at a neat place-Cafe 458.  It is a ministry that feeds the homeless Mon-Fri and then a chef comes in on Sunday and serves brunch- people like us come and pay, and the money we pay covers the brunch and all the food needed for the following week to feed the homeless.  They also help the homeless find jobs and homes.  What a perfect ministry to support on our day celebrating Asher and Annalise finding a home and security!

We enjoyed a family walk- no wonder I get asked if I have triplets just about every time we go out!

Just a quick comparison of what changes have occurred the last 2 years!  God is good- they have changed so much!
Here is to another year filled with growth, change, and God's abundant blessings!

New Years Eve

In keeping with tradition, we hosted a party that celebrated the New Year around 8pm- thank you Netflix!!  We invited some friends, ate a crazy amount of appetizers and then cheered in the New Years!  It was such fun- we are thankful for new friends who embrace our kind of crazy!

Christmas Break Fun

We tried to have oodles of fun over Christmas Break!  Since it was in the 70s for a good part of it, it was easy to enjoy the outdoors!!

First up- the Zoo!!

The kiddos spent lots of time playing outside and taking walks- perfect way to use the energy they have in spades!

Asher and Annalise have started a pretty hefty therapy regime- so between those, we had fun as well!

As a child, I remember riding the famous Pink Pig at the top of Rich's in downtown Atlanta.  It was on top of the super high building and you could see most of Atlanta from there!  It was so cool- and windy- and I loved it!  When I found out the Pink Pig was still working but in a different location, I took the kiddos!  We tried to do it before Christmas- but the wait was over 2 hours- when we came back after Christmas, we literally walked on!  They enjoyed it but it was nothing like before- it is inside an inflatable bubble and goes in a flat circle twice....  Especially after Disney, it was a bit of a let down...  At least we can say that we did a classic Atlanta experience!

This is what I rode as a kid!

Asher has been obsessed with the movie Elf.  I served Elf pasta- pasta with chocolate syrup, marshmallows, MnMs and sprinkles.  They loved the idea and only Asher actually ate it!

We LOVED our break and look forward to Winter Break in February!

Christmas 2015

All is calm, all is bright- that basically sums up our Christmas!  We kept it simple- it was just us at home.  The kids had the entire week leading up to this off, we had fun- nothing fancy, but fun!  For the first time we were able to attend a Christmas Eve service at our new church.  It was strange to not have all the food and noise of NY, but we enjoyed just being together!
Kids got to open their Christmas Eve gift when Al got home from work at 3pm!
Alden finally lost his other top tooth- my gift from him!
After church, kids were snuggled in their beds, and the gifts and stockings came out- we were too afraid to do it earlier with our dog...

Christmas Morning!  Since we have such an open concept house, sitting on the stairs, they could still see the tree and the lightening is terrible- so this is the pic! Adorable and full of excitement!
Asher loved his gifts!
Adeline and her loot
Already busy building!
Such neat piles- good job, Annalise!
Annalise was so sweet and gave Annalise and myself pedicures!

A yummy meal complete with Christmas Tree napkins!

We then were treated to an after-dinner show of Let It Go- Olaf gave warm hugs, Alden was stage manager, Annalise was Anna (but declined to be in the show since she wanted to do a puzzle), and Adeline was Elsa.

We ended the evening with cookies!!
We are blessed beyond measure.  We have our fair share of difficulties- but God is good and He enables us to learn and keep on.  2016 promises to be a big year!
