Doctors Appointments

We have been busy keeping doctors in business!!  Thankfully we have excellent, compassionate doctors, and have been able keep everyone in working order....
Annalise's ear is deemed full functioning!
Adeline has been having some gi issues that are now being worked out
We have only begun Asher's journey- but are slowly figuring things out!

The Greatest Show on Earth

The circus- I have so many fond memories of going as a kid- and I couldn't wait to share it with Adeline and Alden!  We have held off until now- simply because I thought they were too young to enjoy it.  This year, we had a friend generously give us 4 free tickets- isn't that amazing?!?  While PopPop was here, the kids and Al went with him to finally see The Greatest Show on Earth!

They. LOVED. It!!  Addie took a several pictures- all seen here.  They came home at 10pm, groggy but so excited!  It was a great time- and I am so excited that they finally got to experience it- and we didn't have to sell any kidneys to pay for it!  The twins, they will probably go in a few years....
On the circus floor in the pre-show- the elephants painted for them!
Cute clown!
Loving the free noses and tattoos!
Getting ready!  What great seats!
The Tiger show
Bicycles on Tightropes
SO much fun!!
It was fantastic- thank you for the tickets!!

PopPop's Vist from KC!

We were SO excited to have PopPop come and visit!  We have been so lucky to have had all the grandparents make it here to meet and spend time with our new and improved family!

PopPop arrived during nap time, but I was going to allow them to skip it!  Annalise is a scheduled girl- and she cried to stay home and nap- so we let her!  Asher and I went to be the welcoming committee!  Asher was SO excited- and he ran right up to PopPop when he saw him!

We had a great visit- we didn't do much exciting, but he made homework time fun, and it is always helpful to have an extra set of hands around to help!
SO excited to be waiting at the airport!
Practicing Word Wall Words
Getting him to check her reading comprehension homework
Learning about sharks
He even came to Adeline's class and talked about weather- something he knows a lot about and her class just finished studying!
A classic- walking on PopPop's feet!
I promise you he did plenty with Asher, I can't believe I didn't capture any of it on camera!!  It was great- thank you for visiting, Dad!!

Scott Carnival

Adeline and Alden's school hosts a "carnival" every year- games, face painting, bouncy houses, popcorn, cotton candy, and lots of fun with friends!  We were excited to take the twins and introduce them to the school and staff.  Everyone had fun- Asher only had 1 melt down which isn't bad considering how many people were around and how much waiting he had to do.  It was fun and we look forward to next year when all the kids will have friends to see and hang out with!

Face painting- the twins first!  Miss Emily and Miss May- Alden's previous preschool teachers- did them both!
Bouncy house and games- lots of fun!
Snacks!  Popcorn was a hit- Annalise enjoyed the cotton candy and Asher did not...
Balloon flowers and swords- such fun!

A Busy and Bountiful Life!

Life is so super busy- and we wouldn't have it any other way!  Pictures best express how we are adjusting, having fun, and creating memories!
"Working" while we wait for Adeline and Alden's bus to arrive

Swim Meet

This was our first "home" swim meet with Asher and Annalise, so once they woke-up from their afternoon naps, we headed there to cheer them on!  I tried to explain to the twins that they could NOT swim, and that idea did not go over very well...  Annalise as ok once she noticed it was a competition, but Asher was determined to jump in and swim WITH Adeline and Alden!  When we walked onto the pool deck to cheer for Adeline and Alden, Asher would attempt to strip down and jump in...  By the end of cheering for the 3rd race, he seemed to be ok with it.  Over all, it went well, Adeline and Alden did really well, and I would like to think it was because Asher and Annalise were there to cheer them on!
Watching some Mickey Mouse and resting up...
Brothers
Sweet sisters
Go, Alden!! (lane 6)
Asher's attempt to strip down...

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was yet another snow day- and a day where Annalise was scheduled for surgery!  Once she left with Al, I made a yummy breakfast for the 3 other kids.  After naps, we gave the kids some Valentine gifts- Asher and Annalise were SO excited and Alden and Alden were, too....  It was a fun, relaxing, treat-filled, day!
Pink heart-shaped pancakes!
Getting to eat IN the living room- poor Annalise is having surgery at this point...
All recovered from her surgery, and decked out in her jewels, ready to decorate cookies!
So focused- love that she still sticks out her tongue..
Putting on sprinkles- he did a great job!
So excited to open his box of chocolates!
Attempting to eat her chocolate- missing 2 front teeth and a bottom tooth made it a challenge- but she was up for it!
She quickly picked-up on what to do with her chocolate
Yum!!
