July 4th Fun

Since July 4th was over the weekend, we made sure to squeeze in extra-fun!  We made special shirts, were able to share some Starbucks with dear friends from Virginia who now live in Texas, watch fireworks, swim, and spend lots of family time together!  It was wonderful!

Summer Memories

Asher LOVES the water/splash park!  Here he is "surfing"

A local rodeo was held and Al took the big kids as it started at 8pm- they LOVED it!

At the DMV the next day- such cuties!
We took Al shopping for some new clothes- the kids loved "riding the bull" especially after their rodeo experience!!

Swim Meets!  Lots of fun has been had and friends made!

Such a cute look- two teeth missing!!
While little kids napped, Monopoly was played with the big kids!
Playing "airplane" with friends
Minecraft friends
Life is good- full of pool, friends, exploring....

Aquarium Time

The kids received money for Christmas that was earmarked for Busch Gardens.  Well, moving, that wasn't going to work out...  We decided to join the Georgia Aquarium instead!
Lunch at CNN before

It was crowded, but the kids LOVED it!  We only explored a small portion of it and can't wait to go back- which is good since we have lots of friends coming to visit who also want to go to the aquarium!!
Penguins!

Lithuanian Friends!

When we were in Lithuania, we were blessed to meet an amazing family there adopting 3 brothers.  We have been able to meet-up again in the States and it has been a sweet time each time!  They were in GA shortly after we arrived and we met up at Callway Gardens- the kids all played together in the lake and the parents were able to catch-up!  And a few days later, we were able to meet up again at a classic Atlanta icon, The Varsity!  It is so wonderful when you meet another family who "gets" your kind of "crazy" that international adoption brings!  Thank you H family!!  We can't wait to hang out again!

Settling In...

Life is busy- the kids jumped into swim team and made oodles of friends!
Kids are registered at school- getting their crazy physical form filled out is another story...
Addie and her new friends
Swim team has been wonderful!  Friends were made and Addie, Alden, and Annalise did a great job racking in the ribbons!  Asher was bitterly disappointed that he was not old enough to swim in the meets....

We had the "hole" in Asher's room filled in and a closet created!

And of course, LOTS of time was spent at the pool at the end of the block!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

We celebrated National Donut Day!

Daddy bought himself a Birthday-Father's Day gift!

Annalise and Asher have speech therapy- and to celebrate we enjoyed some CFA milkshakes!

We ordered a couch- it took 2 long weeks- but it finally arrived!  Alden and Addie helped me put it together!

NOW life can begin!!

Georgia!!

We arrived just before midnight- too late to take pictures....  We slept and then drove to the closing!  The kids were total champs- loving the hotel breakfast, playing with the dog in the courtyard, and then finally getting to SEE their new house!
Breakfast!
Our new city
Proud home owners- again...
Our new home
Lunch at the nicest McDonalds we have ever been to!  We ate here since our furniture wasn't to be delivered until the next day and Daddy was busying getting fencing estimates.
Checking out the new slide!  It was a huge success!
Our final night in the hotel was eventful- at 5am the firearm went off, and went off, and went off....  Thankfully we were only on the 4th floor- so we dragged the kids out of bed and down the stairs.  Asher was over the moon excited at the firetrucks that can wailing up!  Finally, after 30min or so, we were able to go back in- it was a faulty sensor in the furnace room.  During breakfast, the kids were able to speak with the firemen- and both boys thought that was the coolest thing ever!
Loving the trucks!

So happy that his kayak arrived!

Let the unloading begin!!

Asher LOVED all the paper!
We are excited to begin this new chapter in our life!
