A Wasch Women Visit

Our good friends Karen and her daughter Hannah, came for a little visit this wee. We had fun shopping at the outlets, taking a walk around the neighborhood, and going to MOPS. Thanks for making the trip and teaching the kids about "Zerbert's"!!

The girls having fun in Gymoboree!

Everyone playing "outside" enjoying the wonderful weather!

Alden pointing the way on our walk

Addie attempting golf at a little stop at Anna's house

One packed car! It could be a commercial for either Britax (all 5 car seats are Britax) or Honda Pilots- it can hold 5 car seats AND 2 adults!!
Karen giving Alden "zerberts" I love the look of anticipation on his face!

Hannah getting Mr. Al to share his snack with her

All the kids playing with Hannah

Hannah "helping " Avery eat her breakfast- they are only 2 week apart so it was cute to watch them play together!

Our Week in Review

We have had a lot of fun this week!

Megan, Addie, and Grayson play dress-up

Addie has developed a love of having her hair "fancy" and I love the chance to braid it!

Alden ate this entire apple- core and all....

Climbing to the top of the shell is a fun game.

The Daddy Patrol- after naps and snacks, they all wait at the door to see whose Daddy will arrive home first- so sweet!

Playing "airplane"

Addie's First Report Card

Addie received her first ever report card and I couldn't be prouder!! Since our scanner is gone (RIP), you will have to look closely at the picture. She got all "O's" with a nice note from her teacher!! I just hope this is the beginning of many good report cards- I am so proud of my little girl!!

My Creative Boy

Alden is already starting to show signs of creativity and dexterity that seems to have blossomed when he discovered his new best friend- a little chair. See the pictures below....

I want those cookies!

Notice he's using his new best friend (the little chair)- he's also used the black pan on the counter to try to reach the cookies.

He is MAD that the black pan did not bring the cookies closer, but instead, pushed them further away!

Once again, using his BFF, to attempt to climb over our gate.

Trying to climb over- notice he has his toes in the netting....

Finally, if you don't succeed, flash Mom your cutest grin and hope she puts you over the gate!

Happy Birthday, Avery!

On Tuesday, it was Avery's birthday and the Big Kids really got into making her cards!
Alden overseeing Avery eating her birthday animal cookies

Addie and Grayson checking each other's cards out

Grayson showing off his card
"Gee, did I make this?"
Alden waxing eloquent about his card....

Oops- Addie shows that she tried to use a green marker as lipstick...

Fun in the Snow- Again

Delaware doesn't usually get much snow- or so we had been told. We are just now getting over our 2nd Big Snow this year. The kids were not fans this time- it was FREEEEEZING and super windy. Still, I managed to get them out to play in it long enough to document it with a few pictures....

All bundled up and ready to go!

Addie next to the HUGE drift in our back yard!
"Mommy! I'm eating ice cream!" She thought this was the BEST!

Pointing to our Snow Princess- we had to take a break after making her- to thaw out.

Our Snow Princess- yes, she is wearing a Tiara!
Addie liked her Snow Princess- but once she was decorated, she wanted to go in.

Alden was NOT happy- he was too cold. He's not in many pictures because I had to hold him!

Can you tell they are both crying in this picture? I wanted 1 of them together and this was the only way I could do it! Can you also see how windy it is?

Lowes Car Build

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday, Lowes offers a Kids Build- various projects that are easy for kids to construct. Al was chosen to lead his stores first one, building a wooden race car. I was a little hesitant to take the kids- thinking it would be too difficult, but after watching Al build the prototype, I realized it was easy!

Saturday morning we headed to Lowes and built a race car- it was lots of fun! Addie had to reminded on our way there, that Daddy was going to have to help the other boys and girls, and couldn't just help her. It's a good thing I told her this- there were over 20 kids there!

Each kid got a car kit, a Lowes red apron, complete with a card to put their name on (to look like the employees!), safety goggles, a patch that certified that they were involved in the Car Build, a certificate and a tiny hammer (the hammer had to be returned). Al did a great job instructing everyone how to build the car and fun was had by all!
Ready to start!
Addie showing me her little hammer!
Very serious about building- can you see she's wearing her apron?
Alden trying to help hammer the nails in...
All done!!
